Mount Batur

  • Buffet Dinner: 121,000 IDR (~9 USD)
Batur and neighbors
Mount Batur has neighboring mountains, too.

With Indonesia being infested with volcanoes, Mount Batur was my 3rd volcano to see in this country.  Its last eruption was 2000, which was very recent!

Jumping Dad
Dad does jump shots too and is very good at it!

Also in this area called Kintamani, there was a series of buffet restaurants offering dinner, magnificent view, and perhaps spacious balcony (for our jump shots). I guess most of them offer the same price for the buffet at 121,000 IDR (~9 USD).

Batur View
People just sit and relax while watching the amazing view.
Future
What is in store for me in the future?
Buffet Dinner
The area is lined up with a lot of buffet restaurants that also offer viewing decks, but where are the others?

Pura Kehen Temple

  • Donation to guide: 17,500 IDR (~1.50 USD)
Main Entrance
This is the main entrance of Pura Kehen temple, one of the oldest in Bali.

It was already dark when we arrived to our last destination for the day. It was just one of the many temples we saw but this is also one of the oldest, built in 11th Century. Even our driver said this temple is quite special.

Sunset Temple
The last temple we visited for the day, the Pura Kehen Temple.

The guide was surprisingly very good in speaking English. He was explaining about the history but I have forgotten most of them already. Forgive me.

Pura Kehen Temple
One of the temples inside the Pura Kehen temple grounds.

Like in all other temples, we also needed to wear the sarong here. And the tour guide likewise asked for donation so we gave him some amount.

Side Stairs
The side stairs leading to the Pura Kehen temple.
Stairs
Some last stairs exercise for us, around 38 steps.

Yeah, Bali is a great place for waters, temples, and land sightseeing. I would probably do a similar tour but in another place, like South Korea. 🙂 How about you?
