Iloilo, Philippines

It was a good break for me since I was on a hiatus from work. I would say 2017 was the year I was just fully focused on traveling without worrying about deadlines.

    Stuffed squid was so yummy!

    Nothing beats a grilled fish by the sea

Iloilo is a simple and relaxed town. It connects other nearby provinces such as Bacolod and Guimaras.

Most of the places we’ve visited were old churches and the shore, of course. I traveled with my Dad, aunt, and friends in March of 2017.

  • Jaro Cathedral
    Jaro Cathedral is home to the miraculous image of Our Lady of the Candles which was canonically crowned by Saint John Paul II during his visit to Iloilo in 1981.

I called the trip the “Senior tour” since 3 out of 5 of us are Senior Citizens, thus, the trip had to be chill.

    The dark and bright side of the skies are battling for attention

We only stayed for almost half a day just to try La Paz Batchoy and see the city. Thanks to my friend Junjie Castellano who kindly toured us around. 🙂 Til next time!
