Even before flying to Japan, those who knew I was going to visit this fantastic country, told me that Kyoto is extremely beautiful. At that time, I only knew of Tokyo, Osaka, and Mount Fuji. But yes, they were absolutely right and now, one of my favorite places! ☺ Kyoto was planned as our Day 5 destination with Todaiji Temple in Nara as our first stop.

Kyoto Tower
The Kyoto Tower is easy to reach since it is just on the north side of the Kyoto Station. Like what we did with Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Sky Tree, we also did not enter this building, especially that this is the smallest among all of them. We just visited the Floating Garden Observatory on the 40th floor of Umeda Sky Building, though not the tallest one, in Osaka since it showcases two interconnected towers. I find that something more unique than all the other towers previously mentioned.
I can say Kyoto Tower was some sort of a side trip because we needed to pass by this area to get to our main destination, the Kinkakuji Temple or also known as Golden Pavilion. At night, the colors of the Kyoto Tower are like that of our Philippine flag.
