Odaiba

Train
One of the train stations we went into to go to Odaiba after visiting Senso-ji Temple.

In this massive entertainment space, which means the “fort,” we probably had only covered 35% of the area. First, I can say I am not really a fan of typical museums, they become the last on my list. Therefore, we have prioritized the list so that we get to visit the best ones.

Odaiba
We were greeted by these huge complexes and vast concrete spaces in Odaiba.
Odaiba Illumination
On the way to the main view with the sea, bridge, and Lady Liberty was this sign that I believe should be beautiful at night.
Liberty
The main view: Rainbow Bridge, the calm waters of Tokyo Bay, and Statue of Liberty.
Close Liberty
The Statue of Liberty was built in 2000. The Rainbow Bridge, a 2-story one, is the one that connects Odaiba to the rest of Tokyo.
Facing Liberty
Lady Liberty faces and lights the whole Odaiba area as Tokyo Bay sits quietly behind her.
Tokyo Bay
The panoramic view of Tokyo Bay from Odaiba.
Fuji TV
This is the headquarters of Fuji Television, one of Japan’s private, nationwide TV stations. Enormous!
Parking
An incredible parking lot behind the Fuji TV headquarters, with hanging gardens? Cool!
Pillars
We saw this arrangement while admiring the enormous Fuji TV building. What is it exactly? And the boardwalk to DiverCity is behind this.
Fuji TV Side
The side view of Fuji TV headquarters with wide stairs as we were walking along the boardwalk to DiverCity Tokyo Plaza.
Gundam
Finally, please say ‘Hi’ to Gundam Front Tokyo guarding the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, which was built in 2012.
Gundamie
Feeling proud and strong with my friends like how Gundam does his stance. Hoo hah!
Gundam Behind
Look at that! Such a thuggish style! I feel so safe now.

Odaiba is full of shopping places but we only had some refreshments in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. We told ourselves that we had  to reserve our shopping in either Shinjuku or Akihabara later, well, when we have time.

Leaving Odaiba
We walked this vast concrete space after we bid goodbye to Gundam. We were looking for the nearest train station bound to Tokyo Tower.
Odaiba Exit
Alas, the train station nearest to Gundam going to Tokyo Tower. It is at the bottom of the bridge in the center.
Railtrack
Leaving Tokyo Bay and heading off to Tokyo Tower.
Garden
I liked the simple gardens like this. I saw this while we were in the train. However, where are the people?
